Don't worry, we didn't know what it meant either. But our Federal Government did! Just as we were getting cranked up on Cong. Nathan Deal's official Web site, our wonderful Federal regulators through a monkey wrench in our plans: Section 508.
Section 508 Compliancy is the new regulation that requires all Federal Government Websites to be accessible by disabled persons. The list of requirements is pretty strict on images, colors, navigation, HTML code, and just about anything else you'd expect to find on a Web site. Not to worry, we've already gone back to the drawing board (uh! Keyboard) and have a new look and development plan that's compliant.
So, although we had to start over, we're once again moving in the right direction. We hope to have the Section 508 Compliant Site up soon!
