Red Clay Gives Heritage Volkswagen Serious Online Muscle

Red Clay just made finding your perfectly engineered German dream car, or almost any other car for that matter, easier, with the launch of the new Heritage Volkswagen of South Atlanta. Heritage VW is the best car buying experience in Atlanta, but until recently, their site didn’t reflect that. So in order to re-brand themselves online, they turned to the interactive marketing leaders at Red Clay Interactive.

Inspired by the classic advertising campaigns of Volkswagen over the years, we created a site that is sleek and clean, while highlighting the unique VW design. And just like the cars themselves, the site has a few special features where it matters most. Like the flash header that provides a touch of cool to a site that isn’t all business.

Now there is only one destination for new and used Volkswagens online. And for your company’s digital marketing needs, there is only one solution.

E-commerce To The Rescue!

REP, Inc., based in North Georgia, is a distributor and service provider for positive displacement blowers and vacuum pumps. They came to Red Clay because they wanted a professional website. We listened to their needs, got to know their business and created a site to help brand their business.

Three months after the launch, they realized exactly what kind of opportunities an interactive website could provide. They came back to Red Clay wanting to sell their products on the site. They asked if we could go back and add an e-commerce element to their site.

Our design team went to work retro-fitting the existing site including a feature products section and other elements consistent with an e-commerce site. Then the technical team adapted the site’s structure to support the additional functionality of a shopping cart and full online store.

The results were immediate. In the first two weeks of the retooled site, REP, Inc. received 7 online orders ranging in size from the small to the very large. These sales came from all over the country. These were sales they may not have made, and customers they may not have found, if not for their new e-commerce site.

The moral of the story? No matter your digital need, Red Clay can make it work.

Tiny Ball Champion Has Been Crowned

Gainesville, Ga. – There is a new king of the tiny balls.

In what was an expected outcome, though tinged with some drama, Ryan “Lefty McGee” White captured the 2008 Tiny Ball Championship earlier today, defeating Aaron Stump in Game Seven of the series.

“It feels good to be recognized as the greatest,” White said. “I knew it, now the world does, too. I’m going to Disney World.”

In defeat, Stump was less than graceful. “I think he is a chump and a cheater. If I ever see him on the street, I’ll kick his teeth.”

Stump should be upset, after blowing a 3-2 lead in Game Six, being up two letters to none, which forced the final game. Stump, who was the vast underdog, squandered what could have been his only chance at Tiny greatness.

“I might never play again,” he said. “It just hurts too much.”

White, however, may retire for different reasons. “No one is as great as I am, so every time I play, I’ll just be lowering myself,” he said. “I’ll get worse, stoop to their level, and not be able to face myself in the mirror. I mean seriously, does Jordan play pick up games with middle schoolers?”

The game ended when White sank a deep shot from the far corner. He had not gone to his patented lefty shot in the game, which surprised many in attendance. But he beat Stump at his own game, administering the righteous right hand of defeat.

“I want to tell my wife I love her,” White said. “I also want to tell Aaron’s wife I love her … I figured now was a good time.”

Red Clay Starts Summer Hours

At Red Clay Interactive, we believe in working hard to provide our clients the best search engine optimization, website design and interactive marketing services around. But we also believe that to perform our best, we need some time to recharge every now and then.

That is why we have instituted a new summer hours program. Starting on Memorial Day, our offices will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday thru Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday. This will not affect the level of service you receive as a Red Clay client. It’s just a schedule shift to allow our staff some flexibility to spend time with their families and friends this summer.

Also, if you happen to drop by our offices, you might notice our new summer dress code. Don’t be offended. We have decided that summer office work does not always require dressy pants, so some of us maybe in shorts. Again, no change in service, but just a relaxed atmosphere to help foster some serious creativity this summer.

We appreciate your understanding. Thanks for partnering with us. We look forward to helping your business grow over the next few months.
