Lance chaperoned our propeller heads Greg and David when one of the world's biggest IT and Networking events came to Atlanta this week. The Networld+Interop and COMDEX event drew more than 30,000 IT professionals for three days of educational seminars, keynote addresses, and exhibits featuring some of the best and newest products on the market.
Keynote addresses included Foundry Networks president Bobby Johnson, Sprint Corporation president Ronald LeMay, and Cingular Wireless president Robert Shaner. Classes ranged from Microsoft TechNet Security sessions to iLabs classes on the future of networks.
Our staff had the opportunity to gain new insight from vendors on several products Red Clay is currently using and research new products for future implementation.
The "highlight" of the conference came at the end of the day when the guys participated in the Mercedes-Benz Tech Drive 2002. Mercedes set up a road course in the Georgia Dome parking lot and had 19 different automobiles available for test drives. David looked right at home cruising with the top down in a Red 2003 SL 500.
