Red Clay Interactive recently partnered with the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center in Gainesville to present, "Marketing: Thriving in a Soft Economy." The two-hour seminar for local business owners focused on
digital marketing as a cost-effective means to promote small business.
"Red Clay was the perfect choice for a discussion on marketing in our new economy," said Ron Simmons, director of the Gainesville SBDC. "We are fortunate to have a digital marketing agency with so much experience and success in our community."
Recent research shows that despite uncertain economic times, consumers are responding to
digital marketing. This means many business owners are interested in new forms of reaching customers with greater tracking and return on investment.
"Today's consumer is shifting the way they discover, research and purchase products," said Nick Kastner, internet marketing specialist with Red Clay Interactive. "This seminar gave us the opportunity to introduce local business owners to digital marketing alternatives that can help grow their business."
Topics covered included e-mail marketing, banner and tile advertisements, pay-per-click advertisements and search engine optimization.
"We feel that these tools, in addition to some traditional forms of marketing, can help any business in any market succeed," Kastner said.
At the seminar, Red Clay also announced it would be hosting its own "
Digital Marketing Workshop," to provide hands-on training for businesses interested in online marketing.
