According to SEO expert Bruce Clay, Google is preparing to shake up the world of search marketing. By expanding their criteria for ranking sites, from about 128 to 200, results could be headed for a topsy-turvy year. In addition, new patterns for creating personalized search results, including behavior-based, intent-based and universal search, will add new dimensions to the delicate dance that is search engine optimization.
Google is also considering using a site's interactive elements as a factor in ranking, placing a higher importance on elements like
flash and
video. Throw in geo-specific results based on your ip address, and it seems like a good time to have
SEO professionals on your side.
