We've read the books, but this week was the first time we've been to a
Lynda.com Roadshow Conference.
It was fantastic. It was not covering the most earth-shattering new technology or the latest "tips and tricks" of Web design, but dealt with designing for the user in mind. In fact, we at Red Clay have been working for the past few months on finalizing our Web Audit material and this conference was a real boost. It was exactly what we needed to help bring together much of the material we've been working on.
The chance to talk with Lynda Weinman for 20 minutes at the after hours party was pretty cool. She travels all over the country and works with folks like Adobe and Macromedia. Now there's a job!
We've come back really excited about the things we've learned and have already been able to impliment them in several client meetings and new material. It's good to go to a conference, but when you can bring something back that really impacts you day to day, you know it was worth the money!
