Brett is a creative director of different origin than most of his contemporaries. Brett actually stems from a start in account management, but was driven to moonlighting as a copywriter after feeling the urge to write (rewrite, then write 20 times more) for the clients he represented. Thankfully for us, he stuck with the creative side and in 2014 joined Red Clay as our fearless VP Creative Director.
His patented blend of strategy and effective creative has resulted in more recognition than a B-list celebrity. His work has been in The One Show, a finalist in Cannes, a recipient of numerous ADDYs, and featured in several industry publications. His efforts at Sawyer Riley Compton even helped bring home the 4A’s O’Toole Award for National Small Agency of the Year.
Among the clients he has worked with are The Ritz-Carlton, Volvo Heavy Equipment, Huffy, Golf Pride, YellaWood, Cub Cadet, CNN Newsource, Elanco Animal Health, and plenty more.
Outside the office, Brett fly fishes like he communicates with consumers. Effectively. He loves being able to occasionally slip out during lunch, where his target market becomes trout. His favorite cartoon is Adventure Time, and he cherishes his time adventuring with his wife and daughter.
